Monoprint is a technique that produces a single unique print. This lends itself to quick line drawing, which creates a spontaneous and dynamic element to the work. The paper is lain on a rolled-out layer of ink and contact with the paper produces a transfer. This necessitates writing backwards, which creates a childish version of my handwriting. Tracey Emin is a major influence on this vein of work.
